NMTS Heavy: pick NMTS Heavy when you upload, and your file is kept whole in two separate copies on the Filecoin network for 28 days.
You pay with credits. A Heavy term cannot be extended, and the file is deleted when it runs out. If an upload does not finish, the credits for anything not stored come back within a day. In the terminal, nmts put --tier heavy does the same, and the SDK takes tier: "heavy".
Public links: in the share window, Public link makes a link that anyone can download the file from without an account.
The file's key is in the part of the link after #, which browsers do not send to the server. You can hide the file name, pick an expiry (never, 7 days, 30 days or your own number of days) and save the link as a file. The file's details list every link you made to it, with Copy and Cut. Once you cut it or it expires nobody can download from it, but copies already downloaded stay with whoever has them.
The page a public link opens has a Report button. A report of child sexual abuse material or non-consensual intimate images cuts the link at once.
Settings › Public codes: hold up to three public codes, make a new one, and revoke any except the last. When you share, you pick which code sends.
Nobody can send to a revoked code again. Files already received with it still open, and files you sent with it stay with the people you sent them to.

Terms of Service 2026-09-27-v19 and Privacy Policy 2026-09-27-v21 replace the previous versions.
They add public links, how a report of one is handled, and public codes. You accept the new versions on the acceptance screen before your next upload or share.
