  • The support inbox no longer has any plaintext columns at all.

Since 2026-08-09 what you write to us has been stored encrypted, with the key held by the server process and never by the database. The old plaintext columns stayed behind on purpose that day, because dropping them during the changeover would have made it a one-way door and any ticket written before it would have been lost. They have been empty on production ever since, they are now gone from the tables, and the database also refuses a ticket whose text is missing — a row like that would be a message nobody can ever read, including the person who wrote it. What this protects against is unchanged: someone holding a copy of the database, since anyone holding the server itself holds the key.
