  • When deleting bytes would take other files with them, the screen now names those files.

    Small files are stored together in one piece, so destroying that piece destroys every file in it. The screen said how many — “stored in one piece with 4 other files” — and never which, so pressing that button was agreeing to a number rather than to a list. It now names them, up to five, says how many more there are, and writes a file whose name is not in this device’s list as exactly that rather than leaving it out. It also says the part you cannot see from there: a file sitting in your trash can be in that piece too.
