The delete screen described a limit that came from a feature this product does not have.

When you delete a file you choose between destroying its keys and burning the bytes, and the screen listed the limit of the first as: anyone holding a share link can still open the file. Share links do not exist here — sharing is person-to-person to an NMTS account — and the problem with that warning was not that it warned too much but that it reassured the wrong person, because somebody who never made a link reads it as not about them. The real limit is that a recovery list you made before deleting the file still holds that file's key, and the bytes stay on the storage network until their term ends, so anyone holding both that list and your account code can open the file until then; burning the bytes is what escapes it. Sharing itself is not the gap, because when the file goes the key we hold for the person you shared it with goes with it — what neither option reaches is a copy somebody already downloaded.
