  • Two things our Privacy Policy says we do, we now actually do: the quote ledger goes with your account, and the service-wide totals are kept a day at a time.

When we quote a board post of yours somewhere of ours, we write down which post, where and when, so that turning the promotional-quoting switch back off can actually be carried out — Section 8 of the Privacy Policy says that record is deleted with your account, and nothing anywhere deleted it. It is deleted now, and only yours. Section 8 also says the service-wide totals are kept as a day-by-day series; they were in fact kept in five-minute slots that nothing ever removed, a permanent five-minute trace of everything the service did, read by nobody — the two places that use those numbers either add up every slot or group them by date. The history has been added up into days, no figure we have ever published changed by a single byte, and a board bar is still kept when an account is erased, which Section 8 says it is not: that one is being decided rather than quietly patched, because removing it would mean an under-14 bar could be cleared by making a new account.
