I want to understand NMTS and work out whether it fits what I'm doing. Be my research partner: read, explain and brainstorm with me. This is reading and talking only, so don't create an account, install packages or change my files. Talk to me in the language I normally use with you, which may not be English.

NMTS (NeedMoreTruth Storage, https://nmts.me) is end-to-end encrypted file storage on the Walrus network, built by one developer. It changes often and may not be in your training data, so read it live instead of answering from memory:

1. Explain NMTS in plain words: what it stores, who holds the keys, what it costs and who that money goes to, and what happens to my files if NMTS disappears. Name the page each fact came from.
2. If you can see my project, read the relevant parts. If you can't, ask me about it. Then suggest where NMTS could fit (storage for me, for an AI agent, or inside a product I sell) and where it would not, with the trade-offs.

Set yourself up to use NMTS as file storage for me: make an NMTS account with the one-time pass below, install the `nmts` command line, and get to where you can store and fetch files on your own. Creating the account and applying for the free trial are part of what I'm asking for.

It makes one account, works once, and expires at <time, written in when you copy>. I passed the human check on nmts.me to get it, so you need no browser and no captcha. Hand it over through the environment variable `NMTS_AGENT_PASS`, never as a command argument. Once the account exists the pass is spent. If it has expired, ask me for a new one from https://nmts.me/ai.

Where you have a shell, do the work yourself; otherwise give me the exact commands to run.

1. Install the CLI (Node 22.15 or newer): `npm install -g @needmoretruth/nmts-cli`. If a global install isn't allowed, use `npx @needmoretruth/nmts-cli` wherever these steps say `nmts`.
2. `NMTS_AGENT_PASS=<the pass> nmts create` makes the account and an API key, and stores both on this machine.
3. If you can add an MCP server to yourself, add `nmts mcp --out ~/nmts-files` the way agents.md shows for your client (it may need a restart to see it). Files you fetch through it land in that folder; I can name another now.
4. Run `nmts trial apply` for the free credits. If this week's places are gone, say so and carry on. Uploading needs credits or a funded wallet; everything else works without.

There are two keys. The NMTS key opens every file, and NMTS cannot reset or recover it. The API key lets the server answer you. Don't print either here. Tell me which file holds them and ask me to keep a copy of the NMTS key somewhere else. Ask me before you spend money from a wallet or delete anything for good.

You're done when `nmts env` reports both keys in place (it doesn't print them) and the trial has been tried. Then tell me what `nmts whoami` prints, where the keys are stored, and what `nmts balance` shows. Suggest one line for the instructions file your client reads at start (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or similar) so your next session knows NMTS is set up, and add it if I agree.
